VAN GUILLEMIN
Van Guillemin (born in 1994 in Vietnam) is a contemporary painter whose work blends European Surrealism and American Abstract Expressionism, reinterpreted through an artistic sensibility shaped by both French and Vietnamese cultures.
She is a self-taught artist who began her journey through the exploration of instinct, emotion, and the unknown within herself. Through experiences across various creative fields, combined with continuous practice and constant experimentation, she has developed a distinctive artistic language — fresh, vibrant, and full of life.
Freedom, both in life and in the creative process, has always been at the heart of her artistic journey.
Her inspirations include:
- The journey of self-discovery and layers of personal memory.
- The cultural dialogue between East and West, tradition and modernity.
- Contemporary feminine energy — soft yet resilient, introspective yet free.
- Wounds transformed into light, and solitude becoming a sacred space.
- The longing to belong, to be loved, and to be reborn within one’s own life.
She has exhibited in France, Italy, Dubai, and Vietnam, and her works are held in international private collections. She currently lives and works in Paris, France.
